Phil, I sure hope Ford has a better retirement plan than that! Ha Ha.
Hi Chuck,

The Unleashed Tune !
Regards
I am a tad hesitant about tuning. I have run tuners on my bikes, Probably the same as a truck to install.

Tacoma has 60,000 posts in a OV Tune thread a ton of Tacoma buyers are having to buy IF they want any performance at all. That $800 is a must for Taco owners, I almost flashed my 2016 but I decided not to put lipstick on a pig and moved on the Ranger.

Yes, you always take a chance at warranty, but here are my results..

Perfect for changing lanes. Ford has had that feature on a lot of vehicles for quite a few years now. Personally I'd prefer it to flash at least one more time. Seems like it usually uses up the 3 flashes before I'm even halfway merged into the lane, at least at my "slow" merging pace.

Some of us are "old school" and were taught that you start signalling before moving to the next lane and stop signaling when you get in the next lane. So for me that's usually at least 5 flashes of the indicator. I never use the "bump" feature. Then there are those on the road that don't know what a turn signal is or is used for. Sad, but a product of the times and the generation gaps. Used to be every 18-wheeler used their signals for everything. Now they drive just like 4-wheelers do. SMH.

Lexus had/has an adjustment of 3,5 and 7 flashes which is nice. 5 is what I would go with.

I'm pretty sure you can change the number of flashes in FORScan.

I hope so. My bride's Hyundai Sonata is configurable to choose between 3,5,or 7 blinks. I chose 7. As soon as I learn how to use Forscan and get the necessary tools, I will be playing with those settings.

I bought a trailer tonight. Just a 6x10 flatbed, nothing too exciting. The trailer was missing one light. The Ranger was smart enough to tell me that the left light was malfunctioning, and it did a hyperlink on the left turn signal as well. This all happened even though I have disabled hyperblink in Forscan for my LED replacements. So this is a nice feature to keep you aware of what your trailer is doing.

I thought there was a thread on unusual odd things we’ve found with our trucks but couldn’t find it. Here’s what I came up with during the first 1000 miles.

When you turn the steering wheel while on autostop the engine starts and stays running. So if you want to start the engine w/o taking your foot of the brakes this works. It’s odd because I thought the power steering was electric, so there’s no need to start the engine if you have to turn the wheel?

If you are in sport mode in a high gear (8+) at 1500 rpm or less and go to WOT the throttle doesn’t open at all. It just keeps going same speed as before (you can hear the throttle open when it does). If you are in a lower gear or add more RPM the throttle opens but does so slowly as it builds more RPM. This is drive by wire nanny taking over. We are not in control of the throttle, the ECU is. I did this to try and find the vibration the some have mentioned at 45-60 mph (didn’t find anything other than this).

I saw this a while back and as much as I want to try this, I just can't bring myself to do it.
