I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t an additional plug on the shock for attachment of a reservoir.

In truth the reason for them is increasing the fluid volume to aid in cooling under severe conditions. Not knowing how you’re going to use them if not severe conditions you probably wouldn’t notice a difference as the fluid never gets hot enough to cause performance issues.
Yes they have said they are upgradeable to remote resevoirs fairly easy just swap the top caps

Ahh yes I forgot there is an option of remote reservoirs without CDCV. Sorry, I assumed he meant CDCV because I've been spending so much time dialing mine in. I'm also in the middle of my homework.

2.5's up front even without RR and 2.0's in the rear is a huuuuge upgrade over stock and that should not go without mentioning.

Ah yes, summing moments for statics class. I did plenty of those except using pounds and inches. It can come in handy if you need to determine the load on your Rangers front or rear axles. Add in trailer axle weight just for fun.

Lmao, this is the first chapter in machine elements, just a refresher chapter. Built off of statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials, but that question can be found in statics lol

I would be surprised.
The ICONs are upgradeable by changing out the top caps of the bodies. its 100% changeable just don't know the cost off the top of my head, might make sense when you do a rebuild. I bought the non reservoir versions by accident but doing a trip next week so gonna put these in and maybe upgrade later.

…but how? The shocks are different designs. One is emulsion and the remote reservoir moves the nitrogen into the reservoir tube. It doesn’t make sense that you could just add a reservoir cylinder to an emulsion shock.

I’m not familiar with icon design. Maybe it is not emulsion to start with?

It must be that the nitrogen is contained in that top half, then it can be replaced with a top half that has a remote reservoir. Seems like a lot of trouble. I don’t think this swap is something you can do yourself without special tools. Or maybe it really is so modular that you can just swap it. I think I’ll just go with the remote reservoir to start with and not progressively upgrade.

Ya like i said i meant to go with it in the first place, but i have the regular 2.5 showing up tomorow and i leave for alaska on monday not sure if i want to send it back and wait the few weeks and do the drive without them.

*probably cheaper to go with the reservoirs in the first place aswell but im not sure.

Don't sweat it, according to thermodynamics, remote resis aren't needed in Alaska ?
