I've found that the points are nice for getting free oil changes/scheduled maintenance. I'm sitting at 31k miles and haven't paid for anything yet. Just something to consider is all.
ya......but that doesn't sound fun at all!

The rotating assembly for the ranger 2.3 is unique to the ranger only. It does not share the same part number as the focus rs or mustang. (Which share part numbers).

I'm waiting for a tear down eventually to find out exactly what's inside these blocks.
I believe that assumption is wrong based on the numerous articles that have been posted on this thread already...

You can get a performance chip and boost ranger to 310hp and 370 ft-lbs

Marketing numbers dont mean a thing. When your wife gets her exploder you two can have a little race to see which is the fastest. It might be more beneficial to let her win.

This is the bad advice I came here for!

85,000 FordPass points spent, Ford Performance calibration pack and red tow hooks inbound (because I like red, and why not)

still holding out on the tailgate damper tho!

I've owned my truck for nearly two years and still have yet to receive any points. ?

The idea of potentially getting 400 HP and gawd knows how much torque from our modest 2.3 liters with some swaps and tuning is pretty damn enticing, but as a daily driver I wonder how manageable that might be. Could be a phenomenal off-road monster.

With little more than an exhaust and a tune I find mine crying out for better tires.?

Oh I know it. The last oil change that I did got points somehow added, but Ford still can't seem to figure out how to add the points from the initial purchase.

If you didn't register the Ford app then you won't get any - I believe that is the trigger for the points.

That was done and verified by Ford corporate and the dealer. Still haven't gotten the points.
Very weird. They should give you double for your trouble.

2016 Focus ST maybe Ranger in a couple days.
@DocE3Gun did you guys get your Explorer yet? We just bought one Saturday for my wife. We traded in her 2.0 2017 Escape.

I get Z plan from my mom being a retiree, all available discounts and the 0% interest made it a great time to buy.

Test drove a Bronco Sport. Blah. Felt cheap.

We got her's delivered Saturday. Nothing crazy, an XLT with a few added things to it. She loves it so far.

I've heard the same thing about the Bronco Sport, and at the pricepoint (compared to the Explorer and new Bronco) it does kinda make sense. The black bronco sport they had on the lot had a $12,000 lower MSRP than the Explorer we got for my wife.

0%, Z-plan, and all the incentives definitely made it the right time to buy. Only downside is that we will be paying property taxes on 3 vehicles instead of 2 next year. We weren't paying much on her 2008, so it shouldn't be too bad.
