Have you lubed the bushings?
Yep. Did that back when I was hunting the smaller bird noises from the tail end.

It's coming from the damper itself. It still works great. I also don't drop the gate but maybe once a week so that may play into it.

That's weird it's usually from the bushings. try lubing your damper...It's really fun. ?

Hello,
I installed a deezee tailgate damper about 6 months ago and have not had much problems with it at all. During the winter I did notice it squeaked a little but read it was due to the temperature. Over the last few months the noise hasn’t gone away and the squeaky noise has gotten louder and worse I’ve tried wd40 but don’t know what else to do does anybody have any recommendations? Thank you
WD40 is not really a lubricant I know 90% of the people use it as such, but the WD stands for "Water Dispersant." after using WD40 on something that requires lubrication, I would follow up with a silicone lube.

I swear by Blaster. Their garage lube works really great.

Bluecreeper will fix any squeak, creak, or groan. Plus it eats up and spits out corrosion.

If I can actually reach it I like high temp/low sling bearing grease. If it's a PITA to reach; then I go with the garage door stuff.

If it's the damper itself, they have a 3 year warranty so you can get it replaced.
