Hello,
I installed a deezee tailgate damper about 6 months ago and have not had much problems with it at all. During the winter I did notice it squeaked a little but read it was due to the temperature. Over the last few months the noise hasn’t gone away and the squeaky noise has gotten louder and worse I’ve tried wd40 but don’t know what else to do does anybody have any recommendations? Thank you

It's not the damper but the tailgate bushing that's making the noise. Just spray some silicone lube on both the side bushings and it'll go away. Dust and dirt get trapped in there and it sounds like an old barn door opening. lol

I can vouch for Dave's solution...it is the plastic bushings.
I shot some Dri Lube in mine several weeks ago...still quiet. :like:

Picture worth a thousand words…

seems like some white lithium grease would work well
The suggestion of dry lube is a good one. Any liquid type of lubricant will only attract dirt and sand. Some 303 graphene would work nicely as well.

On my 2021, the tailgate had a squeak pre-damper install. I removed tailgate and added grease sparingly to the bushings as the spray stuff wasn't getting it. There was zero lube on the hinge bushings from the factory.

True but I like lubing my damper so liquid it is!?
