Rebadge! Wish I would have used a clay bar. A couple imperfections made a couple bumps. Can’t notice until you get super close though.

I like it!

I put the EcoBoost emblem under the hood, where it belongs!

Does that EcoBoost emblem come of as easy as I think it does? Trucks not even home from the dealer and the wife wants it gone!

Yes, very easy...I sprayed WD40 where it hits the paint, then took vinyl fish line and “flossed” it off. Used WD40 to get off the left over sticky-backing on paint.

Maybe you'll get lucky like me....I pryed on it, and the whole thing, adhesive and all, came off--no cleaning required :like:

Since I have the back appearance package on my oxford white Ranger I thought it ugly to have a chrome and blue oval in the middle of the grill. I will definitely order the white vinyl ranger letters to go up top of the grill.
I did the tailgate one as well as removed the EcoBoost. Already have the rear Ranger letters in the mail, cant wait to get them on.

I freaking love this! Gotta know: How difficult is it to take that badge apart? I didn't know you could do that. My truck has the BAP too and now I want to do this to the grille oval.

First watch this video on how disassemble the nameplate itself.

It is quite unnerving when you get to the drilling through the back part. Each time you feel the drill pop one of the plastic rivets it make the most cringe worthy sound. Especially since my truck is only 2 weeks and a day old I just about crapped my pants on the first one. I ended up using my little dremmel tool because I felt like I had a little more control.

Getting the actual nameplate off the front grill was only a couple steps. You do have to go under the hood and get at the 2 bolts (10mm) at the backside of grill that hold the emblem on. The rear emblem is easier. Mine has a camera so first I used a couple plastic pry tools to pop the emblem off, which exposed 2 bolts (7mm) to remove the oval around the camera.

I put it all back together with a bit of plastiweld putty.

Thanks! I have the emblem off the back since I replaced both the housing and emblem - gives me a "practice" piece. Taking the actual oval apart was not something I'd ever thought about or was even a thing. Now I have another project to complete...lol.
