I've had the dark burl on mine since September and no scratches so far. Some fingerprint smudges but those wipe right off.

When I did mine I almost ordered the Gray Real Birdseye Maple. I ended up with the Real Carbon Fiber. That Maple is a bit lighter than I would have thought. With the darker interior I’m partial to the darker appliqué colors.

I agree, the maple is a lot lighter than I expected. So far I am leaning towards the Real Walnut Burl (VG). It is a little darker than I would like when there is minimal light in the vehicle.

Installed my old farts faux wood dash applique from wooddash.com. I needed to break up some of the black dash ad this fit the bill. I paid more and had custom made area around the shifter that doesnt have the cutout for the 4x4 switch as I have a 4x2. These kits are more geared to super crew cab as there are pieces you cant use on the scab. Overall im very happy with the change and an unitended result was the applique for the climate controls kind of outlines the switches and makes then easier to see and use for me as im blind in my right eye. Stay cool today its HOT Bret

ordered mine the end of Feb, should be getting the color match this Monday or Tuesday, they had a really hared time matching the rapid red color

Looks like I stumbled upon another must-have...I've spent so much on this truck and it's not even delivered yet. On another note, has anyone tried drilling a hole through the B&I Trims real carbon fiber? I will need to do this to accommodate the trailer brake controller just below the TM selector, next to the gear shifter. I'd like to know what I'm in for if possible.

Haven't seen the Lariat ambient lighting but I'm very happy with mine....just right IMO.

Do you have a part number for that oem ambient lighting kit?
