Our toilet seats are dampened because our son had an "unfortunate accident" with a slammed seat while potty training ha. I felt so bad for him I ran out and bought new seats ha. Yes, my tailgate is also dampened haha. Not a necessary feature, but I love it (and I'm not ashamed to admit it).
I dampened our toilet seat once.... my Wife screamed at me. ?

But Dee Zee dont sell to Australia.
Isn't yours different than the NA version still? The international version does not fit the NA and vice versa.

Yes. Thank you. I thought I was the only one.
A few seconds to open is a lifetime with hands that are full.

What are they going to do next? power lift/lower tailgate?. C'mon.

I'm thinking about getting one, for two reasons. The first is my kid keeps dropping the tailgate, the second is I hear it's harder to steal the tailgate if it's installed.

I totally get the part about your kid dropping the tailgate. Mine did the same, but then I just told him if he can't let it down normally then don't touch it anymore. It's not like he even really has a reason to.
