You should have meant that you have a Google pixel....... Those are the most finicky Android phone out there. They don't even like to communicate with the Android auto very well....
I've had less issues with my Pixels than my Galaxies before switching. I don't know what Android Auto issues people are having, aside from not using OE cables, but that was an issue with my pre-pixel too.

I had the Pixel 1 and the Pixel 3. I had both well before having the Ranger. I still had my Pixel 3 when I got the Ranger and it didn't want to communicate whatsoever via USB. Come to find out later after getting a different phone I found out that Google systems at that time we're not good with communicating with vehicle systems with the exception of hands-free calling and some Bluetooth audio

Odd, I've used the Pixel XL, 3 XL, 4 XL, 6 Pro and now 8 Pro with Sync 3 in my 16 Focus since they released the Sync 3 update that added AA support with no issues as long as I was using the OE Google A-to-C cables it has worked fine.
