Have developed a “clunking” noise on acceleration. Sounds almost like horrendously cupped tires. ( not the case here ) It smooths out after about 20’ or so and doesn’t come back unless I come to a complete stop and then start from a dead stop again. It’s been doing it about a month or so now. Curious if this carrier bearing is supposed to be this loose and if it could be causing the issue. Another problem could be the yolk that needs greased I hear? Truck just hit 100k miles

I would start with greasing the slip yoke. It’s an easy job and I can’t believe how much it smoothed out my truck.

Same as my truck for a while . Took it to dealer and they told me nothing was wrong. Found out carrier bearing was blown out. So i ordered a one piece driveshaft from Eastcoast Driveline out of Long Island NY. Best investment i couldve made for my truck.
