My kid works for the water district near us and he drives one every day
My daughter's BF works for the city water department an he drives one every day too. I haven't noticed many being used for commercial work. This is F150 country here.

Commercial use Rangers are everywhere here. Delivery companies, utility companies, construction companies. I see as many or more than I do privately owned..

Id say 3/4 of the Rangers in Oz are for commercial use. Mine is and every Ranger owner I know is the same. Even the Wildtrak, just a work truck here.
Hi Rob,

That is what I encountered in my two months in New Zealand and Australia. In New Zealand Ranger is King...everyone has one. Australia...remove the pickup box for a flat bed Station (ranch) box...

I do not like the Station flatbed look... but maybe practical...

Best,
Phil

Hey Guys. Since I got my Ranger I've seen maybe 2, 3 at the most Rangers used for Commercial use.
Saw one earlier today for a Pool business.
Any thoughts or input on how the 2.3 would hold up long term..lots of idling, short trips, especially in city driving with the turbo?
No doubt the truck-structure-wise would give excellent service, but to the people in the know, how would these ecoboosts hold up long term, commercial-wise?
Does Ford recommend the Ranger for Commercial Use, or have a program going?
Just curious
Hey, Mikey, totally off-topic question: who is the guitarist in your avatar?

Hey, I love Zepplin, too, and even saw them (for free) several times when I used to work in concessions at "the Fabulous Forum" in Los Angeles...

You are the Man!.....
I was supposed to see them right after CODA came out, unfortunately John Bonham had one too many, one day, and the rest is history. I was a youngster, 15 at the time. I did see Page with Paul Rogers and the FIRM in the mid 80's though

I was in NYC the past few days (took the bus down, no way I would subject myself to driving in that crap), and found myself wondering about how the little 2.3 would hold up to commercial use in NYC. The traffic has to be so hard on vehicles. I live in SLC half the year and so do a fair bit of "city" driving myself but it is nothing like the driving I saw in Manhattan the last few days. I saw a lot of commercial use Tacomas and of course E-series vans.

I live in south texas, think brownsville or south padre island not san antonio

And the ranger is not a rarety here anymore. Several in my neighborhood and most times one or two in the parking lot of any said store. Plus utility companies and other companies. Same with the Colorado
And i see more frontiers than i do ridgelines, lol
Lots of fords here considering they're more salesman than vehicles on the lot

County animal control has been driving a Ranger since early 2019. I would imagine it’s probably pushing 100k miles?
