Anyone getting a collision warning...and co car near you?
Hi David,

Need to go back to the dealer....something is not working correctly. I had a similar problem and it was a connector behind the left headlight that was not seated. I found this myself but some dealership techs said this connector is not at fault....Well...guess what, It fixed my problem but this connector is a PITA to access. I have not pulled up the wiring to verify one way or the other as my Ranger is working just find after I heard the "click" of this connector that was not properly connected at the assembly plant.

Hope you get your Ranger fixed.

Best,

Hi David. Just a quick thing to check. It's probably going to sound as stupid as when your internet provider asks you if your wifi router is plugged in when you complain about the router not working.

Anyway, I notice you are in CA and need a front license plate. I had similar issues and it took me a while before I realized the dealer had mounted the license plate holder upside down and the license plate was covering the sensor. It wasn't an issue at first with the temporary paper plates. The issue didn't start until I installed the real plates. I didn't correlate the two until I tried to dig around and see if there was a faulty connection somewhere. Sure enough, the dam plate was covering the sensor. Flipped it right side up and no issues since.

It's been my experience that you'll come across loads of people who will rely on a digital readout to address an issue and never do the work to identify other culprits. I hope it's this easy of a fix. If not, best of luck.

That would only work/apply if he had the adaptive cruise control radar on the lower bumper. He might, I'm not sure and I don't think he's noted it thus far. Those of us without the adaptive cruise rely just on the camera behind the rearview mirror as the pre-collision sensor.

Great point. I think I was getting the two confused. Now I can't recall Which error I was getting. I'll see myself out now. Thanks ?

Intermitant elc. problems can be very hard to find. I have seen where the insulation will hold the broken wire inside together until it gets hot then the wire will separate. There should be a data base for wierd wiring elc problems. Have you ,heard of the gay amp. blowing fuses? ?
