I sent these dudes an email a while back to see if they had anything for the Ranger. Got a reply back asking for my truck info, sent it to them and that was the last I heard from them...till now!

Got an email from them over the weekend, looks like they got something brewing for our trucks. Not a lot of info or pics, just a "coming soon" type of thing and a "sign up for updates" type of thing. Figured I'd pass it along if anyone is really interested, could sign up. Maybe even be Guinee pig if you are close to them, NY I believe.

I'm curious how they will do this since the camera is in the rear badge.

100 Stradtman St. Cheektowaga, NY, 14206, near Niagara Falls. If my truck is that dirty, I am hitting the car wash any way but looks like a nice set up.

Yea it's a cool system, but I feel it's more for serious off-roaders/overlanders or people with "Wolfbox" type systems than for everyday Joes doing daily commutes. I keep micro fibers in my truck to clean the factory camera if needed.

I know our trucks don't come with a grill camera but I recall some company selling harnesses to add one, and it looks like Clearvu sells a generic front camera washer which would make a lot of sense.

Agree with you there Morgan - I‘ve had to wipe my backup camera a few times - bare hand or microfibre, after turning my head and looking out the rear window to park. Maybe folks forget they can still do that. ;)

I can see someone using a front bumper camera off-road and wanted to clean it off on the fly. I‘m not sure how often that would be the case, so to me, this seems like a bit of a solution looking for a problem.

I guess I'm just a filthy guy because I think this would be a nifty feature. Lots of road grime around here especially after a rain that sticks to the camera. The height of this truck bed does block my view particularly when I'm backing into a parking space. I rely on this camera quite a bit and it never seems to fail that it will be filthy when I'm parallel parking. These are the most expensive tires I've owned so I don't want to scrape them on the curb. Yeah, sure, I could just git gud, but I do appreciate a clear view from this camera. :)

The only time I can’t see out of the camera is when there’s water drops on it when it’s raining. What I would appreciate more than a lens sprayer is a little hood that blocks rain from hitting the camera. Or even better, a way to have the backup cam on all the time when driving. It would be sweet to be able to toggle the screen in real time instead of having to stop and get out to make sure the boat is still on the trailer and didn’t shift. Or for those “did I close the tailgate?” times lol

The rear cam on my truck cap is fine (well-protected, I guess). Running lines to it would be a pain but the front cam in my grille has become dirty a couple of times - definitely easier to hook something up there.

Yeah I'm with you on the water drops when it's raining - that's when my backup camera becomes totally useless and I end up just using my mirrors instead.

With all the snow we have up here (New Brunswick Canada) I wish I would have something to clear the cam

I lived in Moncton for five years, survived six winters there. I couldn’t believe the amount of snow!

This time of year in the Northeast my truck is filthy every couple days.
I just wipe it with my finger or glove. I find that wiping the camera with Rain-X helps a little bit.

Would definitely be beneficial in that situation, as long as the fluid is not frozen. Even if it wasn't, might freeze after spraying depending how cold it is lol.
