Would definitely be beneficial in that situation, as long as the fluid is not frozen. Even if it wasn't, might freeze after spraying depending how cold it is lol.

In New Brunswick, it would be “right friggin’ cold”. Winter windshield washer antifreeze is needed. The better stuff is rated to -50°C. Absolute necessity in many parts.

i run -40 windshield washer year round! got stuck one year with left over summer junk and had to get the truck in a heated garage to thaw the truck out!

I run -40° all year too. I was buying a case of washer fluid at Costco one time but as I was looking for the temperature rating on the box, I couldn’t find one and saw the word: Summer. Back on the shelf it went.

Maybe it has a different formula for bugs and road tar - maybe it’s a different colour, which doesn’t help this colour blind guy.

I don’t know why there are two formulations but I wasn’t interested in having to worry about it come winter.

The main differences between winter and summer is in the winter one, you have more glycol in it so it doesn't feeeze. Laurentide windshield washer manufacturers was one of my customers when I was working for Canada Toseki amd aome of the lab nerds shared pretty weird info

That looks like a really clean install, but this one looks really easy to do and doesn't run the same time as your front windshield washer. It's not out yet but should be soon.
