I put the Ford Performance tune on my '20 when I got the truck and haven't touched it since. The Ford Performance, as you know, requires mid-grade fuel and I have not been very pleased with my gas mileage. Additionally, getting a tear drop trailer this summer and doing a big road trip.
Question is: Should I reset it to stock tune prior to towing to improve the MPG a little? I see no reason to burn mid-grade gas for a few thousand miles with a trailer (Only about 1700 lbs but still). I am not running the stock tires; would I have to re-calibrate my tire size in the tuner after resetting to stock?
Any advice you guys have on adjusting the tune would be appreciated. First time I've had a tune on a vehicle and I set it/forgot it over a year ago now, so curious to hear your experience in a similar scenario.
