Hi Everyone,

This is my first thread post, I hope I’m doing it right. Anyways I am in the process of buying Method MR314 17x8.5 0mm offset 6x5.5 with LT285/70r17 Toyo Open Country A/T3. I am also buying a 2.5 inch level kit along with the bds modified intrusion bars.

Will this setup fit my Ford Ranger 2021 or will I have to buy spacers or other parts aswell?
Thank you

This should work as a starting point...you'll probably discover what needs modification after getting them installed...

33” tires, 0mm offset, high clearance crash bars, 2.5“ level - you’re definitely on the right track as far as level and crash bars go - it’s about the only way you can squeeze those 33s in there with that offset and not have too many issues.

It doesn’t mean you’ll be clear of your fog light housings, air dam or wheel well liners but you might be okay.

Good luck!

I’m currently running MR315 in the same specs with BFG KO2 in 285/70/17 as well. I’m running @Fordrangerlifts.com 2.5” level and have the crash bars removed. I do have rubbing at full lock on the street, but have yet to try out offroad.

Hey Joel, Ranger looks great.

Do you know what they’re rubbing on? Fog light, air dam, wheel well trim?

Sitting parked you can see that at full lock my tires rub on the fabric-like wheel well trim. No issues with the front, but that’s parked. I’m sure once I hit the trails I’m going to get a whole lot more rubbing.

Those will help most folks out - you can see where the liner would need trimming and how the crash bars would have been in the way if you hadn’t removed them.

After switching to Grabbers, I had to cut a notch out of the fog light housing to clear tire swing...

With that particular Offset I would say to definitely avoid Wheel Spacers. You would already be changing the Offset by 55 mm. Doesn't sound like much but that is just over 2 inches.

For the crash bars I'm not sure if the high clearance ones will work just fine or not, but they are better than no crash bars. The purpose of the crash bars are to keep the wheel and tire from going into the cab and crushing your feet and legs in the event of a crash. Best option it to run the OEM crash bars in my opinion.

Understanding you want a different wheel than factory(whether it's for looks or to fit a bigger tire) I personally would recommend a different wheel with a offset that isn't as bad. I was able to fit 285/70-17's on the factory Sport wheels with no spacers and the Old Man EMU lift(2.4 inches up front and 1.6 in the rear). With the factory crash bars I only rubbed at full lock both ways. The moment I backed off it did not rub. If I had wheels that moved the offset by 1/4 inch I probably would have been fine.

Hopefully this information was helpful in some way
