Anyone have pictures they can share of their rocker panel covers? I'm mostly interested in seeing how it covers the pinch welds below. Also any personal experience, good or bad, after install would be appreciated. Thanks in advance- love the forum but following can lighten your wallet!!

I have the Bushwacker covers and can say that the install is pretty easy. Peeling the film off the tape was kind of a pita but nothing terrible. This isn't the greatest picture but you can see where the pinch weld is hidden. The covers are tapped directly to the pinch welds. They have held up really well through my first winter with the truck. I did drill some small holes in the bottom of the covers in case of water getting in there and applied a small bead of RTV silicone to the all the seams (basically unnoticeable). I honestly don't think water will ever get in there if the tape is installed properly and the holes are probably unnecessary.

Chris,
Thanks for the picture and the great tips on installation. This helps me a lot with my decision. Your truck looks great!

I installed my free bushwackers..
There is a gap between the front panel and the rear panel, but it lines up with thr door gap.
I wish they kicked up the front fender like they do on the rear.

My passenger rear cab corner panel needed a little heat to help soften the plastic to get curve to fit right.

There is a couple spots on the pinch weld that either need to be hammered flat or file the gaurds to fit.

I like the coverage. Time will tell how well they will hold up.. i expect to have to add more trim tape at some point

Pics of my Bushwacker Trail Armor I installed on my SCab last July. We track in rocks, gravel, and mud while off-roading and hiking. Not even a scratch on these. Material is thick and very durable. Together with our Husky X-act Contour floor liners we don't even hesitate jumping in and out because everything is protected. Rockers are protected down to the bottom of the pinch weld. I installed the front sections reversed (opposite sides) to close the gap between the front and rear. Two of the best mods I've added. Much easier than reminding my wife to be careful when she jumps in and out !

I got the Ford version. I had difficulty getting them tight enough for the pinch seam tape to stick but they are not going anywhere. On to the pics:

I installed my Bushwacker trail armor last weekend. The reason you have a gap between the front and rear is that you installed the fronts first. Do not follow the junk instructions. Start with the rears 1st, then you can slide the fronts back to tighten up that gap. Mine turned out flawless. Got the full set off Amazon for my SuperCrew for $159.

I got the Ford ones at discount for my scab. Think I paid something like $150 for the set. Want to prep the area and paint pinch weld for rust control years from now. Will post pics when I get around to getting that done

I have a set of Bushwackers on my SuperCab and they have been holding up great. Bought mine on Amazon, deep discount as an open box return. Install requires some patience but yup and "massage" and work the adhesive tape a bit, to get them to fit flush.
