Me too....except I re-used the Builtright dash mount from my Raptor so its sits a little higher than the one made for the Ranger.

so this is the one for the F150/ raptor? I like this idea to just want to make sure it’s the right width and length?

Yes, it was a leftover from my F150 Raptor I traded.
You just need smaller screws and install screw heads from bottom. (nut installed facing up) otherwise it might hit the plastic below the tray.

Awesome thanks, I like the higher one better also, so I’ll be going that route

Is there a specific mounting pattern or anything I should be searching for phone mounts that will attach to this? I just ordered one, but have no clue what phone mounts will be compatible.

The Builtright Sheetmetal part has so many slots on it, that you should be able to pretty much attach any bolt pattern with 2 bolts. But I went with the ram set-up, the drill down base fit perfectly, all 4 bolts line up with the slots of the mount.

I like the idea of spinning this 180 so I could actually use the tray without scraping knuckles.

I ordered one this morning. I am going to add a few pictures from the install and update with general impressions.

I signed up to be notified when this released and they sent me an email with a discount coupon so I jumped in. The price was already pretty good considering it comes with two mounting balls, one arm, and a universal or magnetic phone mount. The discount coupon was 20% so I couldn’t resist.

I want to add a TPMS display to that too, looks promising.

Care to share the coupon code? You can dm me if you would prefer.

Thanks, Jason

I ordered one when I got the notification that they had them in production, the 20% discount was a welcomed surprise. I did find out the discount is only on the mount, not any other things that you purchase. I also bought another arm, GoPro mount and the double ball adapter, the discount did not apply to any of these.

So I installed this thing with the shitty instruction's provided. I mean its fairly simple the thing lines up with the ridges in the dash tray you just have to decide how far back or forward you want it. shouldn't be rocket science. However I could not get the damn dash tray to sit back in the dash topper properly without some force being applied and i knew once some weight was on the mount it would making a pop sound over any bumps or what not.

It looks like the nuts they give you are to big and they hit the under support structure in the dash panel on the front bolts if you centered the mount to the ridges in the tray like I did

My solution was to flip the bolt and nut only on the front side (closest to windshield) and i put some valve stem caps over the bolts to black them out so I wouldn't get glare from them on the windshield.

Has anyone figured out what the F shaped piece of metal with the hole in it is? only thing I can figure out is to se it as a wrench to tighten the plastic knobs a little more snuggly.

Mine’s the Builtright version of the tray, and I wasn’t lucky enough to have a coupon for mine, so paid full price. Oh well.

This was one of the first things I bought for my truck, to use as a place to mount the control head for my ham radio. Overall, it’s great! Was a little hard to bolt everything down. Not much space to get a wrench underneath the shelf, and the RAM mounts are on top of the rear screws. Managed to make it work though, and depending on what you use it for, it may be easier for you.

I’ve since ran a powered Garmin GPS mount through the same access hole as the radio, and have it mounted to the left RAM mount. The right side is open for a GoPro or whatever else. And best of all, I can still fit a wallet, or phone or other small item on the dash tray. Perfect solution!!

I mounted mine backwards intentionally to keep the phone closer to the dash. I mocked it up as intended and the phone stuck out to far for my liking and it felt a little intrusive. The good news is it works well backwards and looks fine even though it isn’t meant to go that way.

I’ve been thinking of getting one of these, but my understanding is that you have to pop out the tray on the dash, drill holes in it for the mount, and once mounted on the tray, you snap the tray with mount back on the dash. It seems to me, since the tray is just snapped in, it would not be very solid and could come loose with the added pressure of taking off and putting items on the mount. I guess I’m missing something regarding the mounting of the product.
