I needed a secure way to mount my phone. For the last 11 months I’ve used a MobArmor Mobnetic Pro 90. I like how it works, but no had issues with the adhesive coming undone on the metal discs on my dashboard. I replaced them at least 5 times.
I saw BuiltRight Industries on Instagram and ordered one. Made of steel and a simple install. Just remove the dash tray from your Ranger, place the dash mount in the tray and mark the mounting holes. Drill out the holes, mount with 4 bolts, washers and lock nuts. I used Dremel tool to cut the excess bolt off. Then just reinstall the dash tray. It’s solidly mounted and the magnet from my Mobnetic Pro 90 attaches strongly.
Soon I will upgrade to a RAM Mounts phone holders. That is what this dash mount is designed to work with. Check them out. Great and simple upgrade for the dash tray I only ever put a crappy pair of sun
