Update:

Ford notes stating what they found wrong (pic). Dealer recommended a new transmission. After 3 weeks I finally picked it up. Drove for about 20 miles and checked the fluid level. Overfilled again, this time to the #1 mark.

When they over filled mine, I thought maybe they just weren't used to the real dipstick I installed from Mike's Build Shop (aka the Fitzstick). But your experience lends to the fact they just can't read the level properly at all. But that ULV fluid is extremely clear and can be hard to see on any stick when freshly installed I guess.

Soooo the bubbles are back even with the new transmission. Along with the same noticeable shifts on 4th and 8th gear, not as rough as before. The fluid looked fresh on the dipstick but on a drain n fill it was completely black, not transparent at all when poured in an empty water bottle. Quite obvious that they never flushed the torque converter. Did three drain and fills, dropped pan, swapped the filter and checked the filter seal but nothing changed. Bringing it back on Tuesday.

New trans would have had a new converter I'd think. No way they should reuse the old one being contaminated and all.

I've seen other member's paperwork on here and it has the trans and TC listed with the part number, but on mine it only had the 10r80 part number. Not sure why they didn't change it on mine but I'm pissed.

New Ford transmission comes with TC. What part number did they have on the paperwork?

I do remember seeing a member on here post the tc number but don't recall if the trans was reman which would make sense. My work order only had one part number, KB3Z-7000-B. Dug around online and the number for the tc is KB3Z-7902-ATC. Not saying you're wrong, it was my theory as to why the atf fluid was still black and still has the same symptoms.

Thats the correct part #. Same as mine and it had a new converter. @LevittownFordParts.com could possibly confirm if it comes with the new transmission.

I found the source of the bubbles. I actually mentioned it in a previous post. It was the black transmission fluid the dealer dumped back into my new transmission, I think they mixed it half old & half new. Of course they denied it by saying the transmissions come prefilled. So I did 2 drain & fills and no change. Then I bit the bullet and paid a different Ford dealer $350 to flush it out. That took care of most of the bubbles, so I did one more drain n fill plus LubeGard Platinum and that did it.

You need to drop that dealer like a hot rock. Jeez they are idiots…. And evidently crooked.

When a transmission exploded you need to flush all coolers, or replace them. The coolant to fluid cooler needs replaced along with the radiator. Sounds silly but it is the only correct way. Did I do that, no. But it is the right way. Im leaning towards a new radiator when I do my 100k coolant flush for this reason.
