bilstein 5100 install improvement

Nice. Just ordered the Bilstein kit from Stage3. Includes the front adjustable struts and rear 5100s. Website claimed they had two sets in stock. Looking forward to a better ride. Seemed like a very good sale price.

Yeah I just ordered my kit today. Said one left in stock. Price is hard to beat.

I think the shocks made a bigger improvement on the rear than the front. I did the rear about a year before getting around to the front.

Well I just ordered the Bilstein 5100 kit with the shocks and front struts. I was originally planning on the Eibachs but the price difference was huge. Once they come in I can install the Bilsteins and global leaf spring and I’ll be set. With the money left over, a tune may be in my future.

How much ride improvement do the 5100's provide for non -FX4 trucks? Is it "night and day" like the FX4 folks describe? Thanks.

I have a non fx4 model 4x4 and I notice a big difference for my personal preference. Truck doesn't roll on turns and doesn't nose dive when breaking anymore. Feels much more stable to me.

Sorry to everyone, guess I bought the last set in stock. Said 1 was available so I had to hop on it. Got my appointment for install set up for next Friday so I’m ready to see what all the hype is about. I imagine it’s definitely a lot better than the stock setup.

I just installed the 5100 rears in my FX4 and went out for a longer trip, what a difference!!! Very happy!

The fronts will be installed as soon as they arrive. These bilstein 5100 set is probably the best bang for the buck out there.
