Lucas Octane Boost 5.25oz bottle.

If the price difference between regular and supreme drops back to normal then its just cheaper and less hassle to run the supreme.

Always follow the instructions and mix in with a nearly empty tank. Don't over use, more is not better. You'll just end up with orange plugs and a damaged cat.
Just so you know, this product contains a component our owners manual specifically says not to use (MMT). Actually it is the component used in most octane increasing additives. It's also pretty toxic if you read the msds, but who does that. Just saying.

great catch.

Curious when Lucas switched to MMT over Toluene. Or maybe they always have and I missed that. But yes don’t use anything with MMT as anything emissions related will get ruined In short order.

Berryman's use to use, and I think still does use MEK - Methyl Ethyl Ketone. Great stuff for cleaning up all sorts of goo and gunk but I wouldn't use it regularly (haven't used it in maybe 12 years) and if you do, I wouldn't ever mention it to the shop. They'll blame TPMS failure on MEK.

My 2 cents:
1 hour to the south of me is the largest refinery in eastern Canada. Tankers with every brand name imaginable fill up there.
Based on that, I don’t believe there is a difference between brands.
I do run 91 in my truck, have never seen 93 offered here.

Ah.... Looking at the Safety Data Sheet it looks like they toned down the MEK to <5% of total in favor of Toluline 50%, Acetone 20%, Methanol 20% The rest is MEK, 2-Butoxyethanol, and 2-Propanol. I wonder if they had to do that to get the "Catalytic Safe" rating.

I use Chevron and RaceTrack gasoline primarily. Always at least mid-grade (89-octane where I'm at) just out of habit because my old Dodge ran like crap on 87-octane. My father and I refuse to use Shell gasoline because he's pretty sure that's what caused some of the issues he had on his last car. (Granted, that was ~15 years ago) I prefer Chevron because my sister works at Albertsons, so we mostly shop there, and their rewards points can be redeemed for money off at the pump. However, I've been frequenting RaceTrack because I recently discovered E-15, which is cheaper than Chevron, even with the extra discount.

The additives are put in when being loaded in to the truck. What makes Shell gas Shell gas happens right before it leaves to stations. Same with any other brands. Fuels at different stations are different. Whether that makes a difference, I couldn't give you scientific reasoning. I can tell you, my motorcycles all ran better with Shell.
