Aurora borealis last night from Pawnee national grasslands.

The grass isn't really on fire... It just looks like it. ? It's the morimoto side marker lights.

Only potato phone pictures... I need to get a nice camera for these sort of images.

I was bummed we didn’t get to get out to Pawnee for this. I’ve seen a bunch of pictures and it looked awesome.

I was bummed we didn’t get to get out to Pawnee for this. I’ve seen a bunch of pictures and it looked awesome.

It was so peaceful out there. Chilly and breezy, but gorgeous. We only saw 1 other vehicle once we entered the grasslands. And that d-bag drove past us, parked on the side of the road with marker lights and bed lights on, at full speed spraying dirt, dust and gravel all over my pretty truck. ?

We tried to go just down the road but the lights from Boulder, Longmont et Al made it difficult. Even out at Pawnee the lights from Cheyenne were in the horizon...

That's the glow in the bottom left of this picture.

The lights in the middle at horizon were homes or rigs or something.

We forgot how many stars there really are up there. ?


I should note, these pictures look good on my little 6 in screen, no idea what they look like fullsize....

My daughter climbed a tree on the island today. It’s a cool view of the ocean and inlet.

Here are some of our latest doorbell camera screen shots, we feed a couple of stray cats and have 2 young red foxes who like the food and come around at least once a week.1st short video is me arguing with a young opossum eating the food I just put out. Then there's some thunderstorm video, stills and foxes. I can't find the family of 5 raccoons I scared off, 2 youngsters just stood there with stared at me and probably thinking, Hey, I'm eatin here!​

My daughter and I decided to carve scary jack o lanterns. Mine is on the left, hers on the right. She said it was the scariest thing she could imagine.
