Hey guys so I know that I want the BDS 3.5 in lift kit for my 2019 XLT. I know that I'm set on getting 285/70r17 size tires. I really want to go for that 0 or +1 offset for the rims so I can give the truck an aggressive stance. My question to yall is if I get the bds intrusion beams to replace the crash bars with the kit, do you think I can achieve that offset with no problems? Let me know what yall think.

I have Method 316 18 x 9 wide wheels with KO2 285/65/18 which are real close to the same size as 285/70/17. I have Fox 2.5 Coilovers set to 2.5 lift with the BDS crash bars and no rubbing. Yours would be set a little further out then mine which are just a fraction outside of the wheel wells.

@mike_o44 did you ever figure this out? I've got +6 offset wheels, 285/70/r17 falken at3ws, and a fox 2.5 suspension kit, BDS crashbars. I have tire rubbing, even with the aftermarket bars. I live up in the mountains and rubbing U-turns in the snow are a nightmare scenario for the 4wd and traction control.

Just got back from the shop after trying to get a closer-to-stock offset (+25) wheel set installed to fix the rubbing, but they wouldn't install them because bringing the tires closer to the truck makes them touch the hose for suspension's external reservoir at full-lock.

I'm thinking fixing this via offset is a fool's errand, but I'm also thinking that maybe the ReadyLift crash bars provide more clearance than the BDS ones... thoughts?

@Mighty Little Blue mine's blue too, I'd love some advice here, we're truck twins!

Might be the tire brand each manufacturer’s are different when it comes to actual physical size. There is a recent thread ( not sure how to link) title is “Well Someone Finally Did This”. In this video they state Wildpeaks run larger and heavier the other brands.

Edit Mine are close, but never rubbed. Only issue was remote reservoir had to be repositioned, because the drivers side hose was rubbing slightly.

to add to the tire-brands are different I have the load class E wildpeaks and even on their spec sheet they note they're 0.2 inches bigger in diameter than the equivalent C class tire.

what i really dream of finding is somebody who's compared the BDS vs ReadyLift bars, because if the readylift ones provide just a tiny bit more clearance, like 0.4", I can save myself a pile of cash and a roundtrip to the customs guys to imitate your mount-the-fox-reservoirs-closer-to-center strategy.
