The gist of what I was stating is to not reset the BMS every time the battery is placed on a charger as @hughesjv was thinking about doing. The shop manual doesn't recommend that.

I was not thinking every time just when electronics remained turned down even after charging...I truly thought it would reset itself after charging but after seeing my battery at 95% and my passenger door locks were off, well...I reset it.

If you replaced the battery and didn't reset the BMS, then that is the likely cause of the issue. Resetting it after the new battery install was the proper thing to do.

Not sure, I had Ford replace it while they were under the hood for an issue they accidentally caused.

Maybe but when your electronics are turned off when the battery is nearly 100% there must be another answer?

The question is - (Important) - What is the Scan Tool showing for - Estimated Battery SOC?
This PID is the driving factor for the BCM's decision making - to Load Shed, the battery can be 100% charged and sitting at 92 % Plus SOC (Actual) but if the BMS sensor is not accurately reading (Biased) it will continue to read a lower SOC than (reality)
The main downside to this important PID - Forscan will not display it, you must have another scan tool to see it.

I do not have a way to check that so I am just not sure...I have read a little about Forscan but that is it.

Well, after resetting the BMS a month or so ago, then recharging the battery for almost a month with desulfation going nonstop. I test drove the Ranger today.

From Scangauge in realtime - SOC at 99% with a 2amp charge rate, voltage fluctuating between 13.9v - 14.1v. Amp rate dropped to 1 within 5 miles, I stopped to pick up a few parts for my Genset at O'Reilly's auto parts, restarted the truck and had a repeat experience. Took the truck out a 2nd time to the same store. This time Amp rate dropped to 1, then fluctuated from 1-0 amps as it closed in on 100% charge. SOC target in Forscan was set to 100 3 months ago.

I now own 4 different battery testers, and the TopDon BT200 is the most finicky of them.

So this proves you can reset the SOC when it drifts.
