Does anyone have any experience installing a BAKFlip MX4 with Line-X bedliner. Do you need to drill into the bedliner to install the tonneau cover? Is this a difficult install and are their companies who will install for you?

I don't think there is any drilling. My truck was a demo and it was already on and Linuxed. I took it off a while back and everything just clamped in place.

I have both the MX4 & Line-X. The local Line-X dealer for me was also a Backflip distributor and they would have installed both if I wanted. There is no “drilling” required, but if the Line-X came first you may need to clear some holes for the mounting brackets.

Dealer did the Linex and then I decided on the cover a couple of weeks later . The dealer did it too , not too difficult because after 3 coffees they were done . Did not see any drilling .

I had an MX4 on my F150 with a spray in liner. The only drilling needed was through the removable plastic "plugs" at the front of the bed to route the drain tubes.

Yes, factory linex, had to drill and redo the threads with a drill tap bit.

I have the gator cover which back flip makes for them. Clamps on the the ever so flimsy bed rail lip and doesn't touch the liner. But solid product overall.
