Hopefully, the corrosion has not progressed up the wire, and is only isolated at the splice.

Also, I think your arrow of G402 is actually G400, but then again, I am not under your truck and the location diagram is rather lacing details. (general only)
So, I could be wrong

Splice found, not where it says it is on the connector diagram. Regardless, I think we found our culprit. Not sure how water got through the electrical tape, through the plastic harness wrap, through the heat shrink, and ruined this splice, but it did.

Also for anyone else who finds their selves in this unfortunate position, S410 is BETWEEN G402 and G400, not as indicated on the diagram. Will update once I fix the wiring.

So as far as I can tell from this pic
The (2) Wires (Right / Split Apart) - Are the RH Taillamp Assy and the Camera
The other (2) - One is to the C408, and the other is for the LR Taillamp Assy
Just a GUESS but most likely the feed run

I am just curious, but are you backing a boat trailer into water at a boat launch? That splice seems pretty high up to be getting water in it. Also getting water into the license plate lamp sockets seems odd.

No boating here, but I have done some deep-ish water crossings which I assume is what did it. Still sucks if I ruin the harness on my Tremor if I use it like a Tremor.

I will clarify on connector location and such as asked above, after I go clean up and eat. The backup camera still didn't work after the wiring fix but it was the only code left. Swapped out to the new camera and it worked even without the module calibration. It was missing the guide lines but after doing the LIN Cal the new camera is working as intended.

Okay so I think the connector confusion comes from the fact that my pictures are taken with me sitting under the truck, with the axle to my back looking out towards the rear of the truck. I tried to color code what you can see in the picture to what is in the diagram and please let me know if it is still confusing at all. My main issue was that S410 was further down the harness "past" G402 and the fuel pump control, but on the diagram it shows as "before".

No problem, Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork, at least its working now. Hopefully the plate lights are just what I suspect, and the replacement of the connectors will cure the issue.

I suspect the voltage variations to the camera took it out (internally)

But hey we learned a few things - C408 Location (verified), the manual diagram is slightly off, and the rear camera can power on (without) the LIN circuit (communication)
The LIN circuit is the customization (zoom) and the grid lines addition to the Sync Screen.
and we learned a possible (pinpoint) spot for others with BLIS or Camera issues.

Absolutely, more information is always good. The new connectors for the license plate lights should be here sometime this week hopefully and I will update here once I get those wired in and working.

Alright, just to finish out the thread, the license plate lights are all good now after replacing both connectors. Thanks again for all the help guys!
