On my 2019 Auto start/stop was inop for a while. I was getting the gray “A” telltale with a slash through it on the dash at stop lights. Ambient temperature was 60 ish. Auto stop/started working again once the temp got over 65.......coincidence? Owners manual says that ambient temp must be in the “moderate” range. Does anyone have any idea what Ford considers moderate range?

There is a display screen on the dash that will tell you why it is not working. There are a number of reasons it auto disables. I think one of them is engine not up to temp. I have mine disabled in Forscan, so I don't remember which screen it is, probably under settings.

There are several reasons you will get this notification , it will also do this if the battery isn't up to full charge.
