Yes. The 'male' connector of the Dongar adapter plugs into the OEM mirror power connector and the female USBa supplies power to the Wolfbox via a short male USBa to male USBc cable - Wolfbox has a USBc socket.

So, I just had the windshield recall done and as I was driving my rearview mirror decided to liberate itself from my windshield. Since it’s off, maybe it’s a good time to replace it with a digital (wolfbox) one. This thread has been very interesting and my thought was what about using the oem mirror mount from the old mirror? Might be a better fit? I dunno. I’m feeling destructive.

I’m leaving all these pictures here in the hope they’re useful. Since all these things fell from the sky I might as well take pictures with part #s ?‍

I used the OE mirror mount today to mount my Wolfbox G930. I had to buy the Wolfbox OEM mount. The ball on the mirror is about 2mm smaller than the ball on the mount from Wolfbox, so I used a rubber 3M piece to use as a spacer. I am working to wire it up, but that's going to have to wait for the Donger adapter. The camera probably wont mount until I buy the wire extension, since I have the topper and it has to go to the back. not sure if I am going to mount it to the topper or the license plate.

You have to absolutely mangle the OE mirror, which will not be able to be reused. There are two metal hoops that give the OE mirror tension and I had to cut them off.

I ordered the Donger and a short cable for charging. Should be able to get that wired up while the kid sleeps tomorrow., assuming its delivered in time. Amazon carries the Donger, which saved me on shipping.

Yep. I bought salvaged mirror from an Escape on eBay and tore it apart to get the mount out of it.

how did you remove the bottom plastic part covering the sensors???? ive bene trying since nov 2023 to hide my camera wires and I can't remove it!

You just… pull outward. It takes a lot of force and makes you really uncomfortable.

Hey Guys, Heading down this path, especially since Wolfbox has 3 cameras now.

I see a lot of info on the mounts, just not the wiring connection. How did you connect wiring?

Any pics or suggestions. Didn't see any on the site either. and if the WolfBox is powered by USB, where does the OEM connector go?

if you have the auto dimming mirror, get the Dongar adapter. It plugs in where the OE mirror gets power and then runs a USB-A to USB-C to the mirror.

if you want to use the parking feature (not sure they have it, Cobra does) you will need a constant power source from the fuse box, if not, as Colo_Ranger said, an adaptor behind your rear view mirror works great, I have been using one since 2 years and it works as long as the truck is on.
