Just wanted to throw up an appreciation post. I always read negative things; transmission this, fuel economy that, weird issue there, blah blah.

Anyways. Ive used my Ranger as my "work" vehicle for the last few years. I fall trees for Wildfire during the summer up here in BC, Canada. My Ranger takes me everywhere. Forestry roads, gravel, moon dust, grass, dirt, mud, sand, hills, puddles, ash, smoke, you name it. I've clocked about 10,000km over the last 6 weeks, with only about 1/4 of them being on pavement. I've driven 1400km from one end of the province to another, mobbed around on a fire for 2 weeks, and then driven 1400km back home. All without skipping a beat.

The truck hasn't let me down. Other than some 10 ply tires, an Optima battery, its 100% stock. I do all my own regular maintenance with quality fluids and filters, check everything on every fill up and drive a bit like a grandma most times.

The point of this is to just reaffirm the fact that most of us drive these things every day, doing "truck stuff", with no real problems. Don't let the plethora of posts about pesky issues deter you from the fact that these are good trucks. And you can drive them as such.

You are correct. These really are great trucks and I love mine. It has never left me stranded. Like all vehicles they can have issues but the 2 that I delt with have been fixed. Mine is a keeper.

Great post! I love my 2023 SC, it has been great. I do NOT miss my previous vehicle, 2016 Ram 1500, in 95k mi, I had to replace the fuel pump, water pump, exhaust manifold bolts and finally the manifold bolts broke again and it started with the knocking at idle which is the cam roller bearings failing, which means rebuild.

I've got a bit over 48k on mine now, and I use it as a truck - it has always done what I've asked of it, many times surpassing my expectations. I love this truck!

Is it perfect? No, but it is pretty darn close for me.

I’m so happy I’m using my 05 dodge Dakota as my company vehicle that pulls my trailer and my lifted 21 ranger is my fun truck. I love that truck. Lift wheels and tires are done. I scratched it the other day and not a single F was given. I don’t work by Ranger unless I need the four-wheel-drive with the mud tires.

I am currently camping with my awesome SCAB Ford Ranger and my truck hauls my TT awesome and has never let me down and it seems to get better with age. She sure is fun to drive. Definitely a keeper! I will have a bunch of pictures to post on my adventures in the last month once I get back into town. This Is a Great Thread.

Everyone is certainly "proud"? of their Ranger , and this "appreciation" thread proves it ... so does that make this ? a "Ranger Pride Appreciation " thread ? ? (Asking for a friend or previous persona)

Another happy Ranger owner here but I have been driving the stock tune for a couple days after getting the Works. Time to reinstall the Livernois tune. :like:

I may have to order a DPFE sensor as the bucking/surging is noticeable using the stock tune. Checked and no DTC's.
