I have some gas I need to rotate for the generator and was planning on putting it in the Ranger. This thing looks too small to work. Anyone have any luck using this thing?

Did you end up putting it back in the cab? If so, how'd you clean it out?

Used it as @JohnnyO did to rotate gas, probably same chain as they are based out of PA and local here. Let it air out and put it in a zip lock back in its place for next time.
Helps to have a can with a flexible spout.

Definitely works and unfortunately due to the silly design Ford made with the fuller you have to use it when filling with a gas can...... As others mentioned just douse it with break clean or other things.

It's like a condom.

You swear it can't possibly work.
You keep it around "just in case"
You clumsily fumble it about the first time.
You pray that it works.

Then all of the sudden it's amazing.

And when you re done with it, you aren't sure what to do with it again. Where do I put it? Is it ok to leave it on the ground? Should I flush it?

I bought an extra one to add Seafoam and leave the factory one for emergencies. Only a few bucks and I KNOW the factory one is always in my truck.

After that headline, I zeroed in on the jack in the photo and wondered the same thing. Also wondered why anyone would use it to recycle fuel. ONLY then did I spot the little white funnel, and it all made sense. That was my DUH moment of the day. Unfortunately, the day ain't over.

I just take the nozzle of the can and pour it right into the funnel.

Me too! For one thing, the Ranger has an alternator; Whazzis about rotating gas??? There's nothing in the manual! I can clearly see that it is belt driven, not gas-operated!, And why would you use a jack???

Getting old, I guess. The mind is the second thing to go, and I can't remember the first.
