I can't explain it either, but mine seems to shift better, smoother after the flush and adding Lubeguard Platinum. So what about changing the oil remedies this in your view? Just changing oil shouldn't have any measurable change.
I wondering what happened to you and your truck. In what way do you mean? I've been responding to a large number of posts![]()
GotchaI wondering what happened to you and your truck.
What did you decide was wrong? What will you be doing about it?
In that way.
It is easier to do if you have the MBS Dispstick installed. Open hood and insert the tube down the dipstick tube, and it will fill the jugs just fast enough to allow you to monitor and not spill a drop. Put in the new fluid leaving enough room for the LubeGard platinum. I had an immediate and profound improvement. Truck shifts like new.Mine is doing something similar. I'm going to try Lubegard and see what happens

This is the pump I used $25. I hooked it up to a 40 year old 12v battery charger that I had in the garage. I am changing the trans fluid one more time when I hit 25K miles and change the engine oil. That will happen in another couple of weeks. or 350 miles, whichever comes first.I installed that dipstick. It was easy to do.
yes. My 2019 does it all the time. I just figured it was the throttle by wire. Or 10 speed. But, if my revolutions are up, it’s normal. Fellow on here explains it correctly, I think. (Exhaust gases, etc)Anyone had their transmission simply not respond for a longtime, when flooring it?
I was on the highway recently, and was merging into traffic from a near-standstill (as is normal).
I was half out of my lane, with high-speed traffic in the lane I was merging into, and floored it while in D mode to merge into the lane.
Simply nothing happened for SEVERAL SECONDS(like 3 seconds). It seems like I lost all wheel power. Not even slow movement while turbo spun up -- simply 0 power.
After those few seconds, the vehicle finally started accelerating. I didn't move my foot so no, I hadn't been accidentally pressing the brake
Anyone had this before?
Is this a transmission issue? Engine issue? Either way it was extremely unsafe.
The lag is to help with the noise and clunking from the driveline lash on vehicles with traditional transfer case and driveshaft setups. Most drive by wire vehicles for some reason seem to have a little bit of lag built in. I don't know why, maybe it's a "safety" feature to stop them jumping away if you accidentally bump the throttle, maybe it's designed as a soft start to make life easier on the driveline. I do know, it can be extremely annoying at times, combine it with turbo lag and you have a double whammy effect. It's even worse on my diesel model, diesels being naturally a little bit slower to spin up. I find a steady push to the floor often responds much faster than suddenly slamming it down.

All other times i've floored it, no issues. This one occurrence almost caused me to have a serious accident -- if the cars I was merging into didn't respond in time and quickly hit their brakes while my vehicle froze in their lane, I would have gotten hit. Most drive by wire vehicles for some reason seem to have a little bit of lag built in. It sounds more like an engine issue, rather than a transmission issue. Was the engine roaring and the truck not moving? All other times i've floored it, no issues. So I don't believe a drive by wire lag is what occurred here.
And agreed that smooth push to floor can be good. But since flooring it has always worked, and this time the truck basically died, it's confusing why there was different behavior that one time.
