I have found that the heated function on a near vertical rear window that never sees an accumulation of anything is immeasurably handy...
It works great when you park down wind from an intense lake effect squall. Or so I’ve imagined.

The LED headlights are amazing. They are the best headlights I have had on a vehicle. I do not think you can upgrade via aftermarket with ease. Although it is possible to upgrade, the cost may be close to the difference between and XLT and Lariat. Honestly, if you want good headlights, get the Lariat even if you have to wait some.

Push button start is something that you don't think you want or need until you have vehicles with it. Once you get used to never needing to remove the key to unlock/lock doors and start the vehicle, it is hard to go back. My household has both and it is odd using the vehicle with a traditional key. It is too bad you have to step up to a Lariat on the Ranger to get push button start. Many other manufactures offer it on all trims, or starting at mid-level trims.

This is my 3rd XLT, last truck was an XL, and this feels like a luxury vehicle. Granted I added leather to my XL and one XLT was a BFT (build Ford tough) edition and it came with leather. Other than seating options I have never pined for a lariat. Less stuff to break, cheaper buy in too.

So I currently have a 2023 Lariat Tremor with 500A on order. I'm beginning to have second thoughts because of the uncertainty of getting the LED headlights and fog lights. It's pretty much the only reason I ordered the Lariat. And I would hate to have to walk away and start a whole new order. I'm considering dropping my order to an XLT Tremor with 302A. It would save me $1500 which would probably end up being the cost to upgrade to LED headlights after the fact. Not really interested in any of the aftermarket LED headlights. And I would probably go Diode Dynamics for the fogs.

So outside of leather seats, push button start and power folding mirrors, is there anything major I would be losing by dropping to the XLT with the 302A?? I know there are some smaller changes like ambient lighting and body colored exterior bits. But it seems like most everything else standard on the Lariat 500A is included in the XLT 302A

Did any of you regret going with an XLT over a Lariat???
Be aware that LED headlights/taillights are not actually an "upgrade".
They are pretty, but they are cost prohibitive both to buy and to replace.
They offer no real advantage in function or effectiveness.
One of the reasons I chose an STX was that a headlight costs $12 instead of $1200 to replace.

I am super happy with my 2020 Lariat. I really don't have a complaint with the dash cluster but it sounds like a lot of people do. I do like the leather seats too and the slider window. The slider window is nice since the Ranger has no sun roof. I like getting some air flow and the slider helps in that regard. The LED headlights are fantastic and I added the Diode Dynamic yellow driving lights awesome. Just my thoughts on two years of ownership.

I've got a '19 XLT 302A Sport FX4 med stone int w/ tow pkg. Didn't want leather, like the XLT dash and grille better. Power fold mirrors went away when I added the Clearview tow mirrors. Hard of hearing so B&O was not a concern. Pushbutton start, ACC meh. Only thing I miss that I don’t have is auto wipers and the LED lights. Nothing I can’t live without or change if I want to.

Depending on your height, not having keys dangling off the column could be a thing. Test drove an XLT and noped right out of that. Would've driven me nuts. Happy with my Lariat.
You must be really tall. When I drive my wife's car, I have to remove part of her keychain. For me, I just have the house key on it and it doesn't even come close to my knee.

Nope, don't like leather seats but jackets are another story.
I can add LEDs, but not a Tach. And don't tell me that craptastic wannabe tach's readable.
Heated seats in the XLT? Got em.
King Ranch or Guy LeDouche editions might've been a different story

I'm definitely happy with my XLT. A better sounding factory stereo would've been nice , but it's not a thing on the Lariat SupeCab anyway.

My wife's new ride has push button start and will admit that's it's kinda nice never needing to remove the key from my pocket.

I dont think the lariat tremor has leather seats. It just has a line stitched in them vs the xlt tremor with no line.

We like our XLT - the only thing I miss is push-button start, but I added the module that let's me use the regular key fob to do that when needed.
