Annoying honking

I'm left to wonder why you'd walk away from a running truck (that wasn't remote-started)? Isn't that just asking for someone to steal it? (I'm sure I'm missing something here, but don't know just what it is).

You never forgot something inside your house, or just needed to jump out to for a second or two????

I disabled the double honk in FORSCAN a while back but reverted it because doing so disabled the door from locking whenever I exited with the keys. I don't know if it was a fluke with my truck or not. Just my experience with it. I ultimately enabled it again. Better safe than sorry.

When I park in my garage, it takes up a lot of space. Sometimes I need to pull it out to get to something and pull it right back in. No sense in turning it off for the 30 second task.

Are we talking about your Ranger here or a memorable sat night w your lady?

Yeah, it does seem really silly that only the Lariat comes with a keyless ignition.

Solved...

Carry all your non-auto keys on a separate key chain. Works for me anyways.

It's 2021 not 2010 every model should have this feature by now. Heck, even the $30K base Bronco has push button start.

That was my point is should be standard on every model without having to pay $40K for the Lariat.

I'm in IT, Windows admin. I often see posts by people on admin forums saying "why don't you just load linux and do XYZ? It's easy" Well, it's "easy" if you know how to do it.

There's a few ways to do this. You can just shut the door to the first click and it won't honk, you can use Forscan to disable it or buy this honk/horn eliminator.

Why not they did it with the Bronco? Should've been added to all the 2021 models along with Sync 4. Why is the Ranger still getting the pos Syc 3 when again every model Bronco is getting Sync 4? They're both built in the same factory you'd think it would make production a lot easier having the same platform for both vehicles no? I'm not arguing with you I think Ford is doing some things back asswords here.
