Anyone know how to (if possible) get rid of that annoying honking when you walk away from the truck while running and you have your key still on you? Went through the settings and cannot find anything. Hopefully I'm missing it.

As far as I know you can only do that using forscan. There's a few threads talking about all the settings.

There's a few ways to do this. You can just shut the door to the first click and it won't honk, you can use Forscan to disable it or buy this honk/horn eliminator.

Only my opinion, but if I were going to drop $100 on a dongle that only does one thing, I would invest in the cable to use forscan so you have the option of changing many other settings. Note: I just ordered the cable and haven't used forscan yet, but it seems to be fairly easy from what I read here.

Turning the truck off works.

Leaving the key in the truck works.

The doors have '2 clicks' to the door latch. The first click catches but the door isn't completely closed. I'm sure you know what I mean.

I'm left to wonder why you'd walk away from a running truck (that wasn't remote-started)? Isn't that just asking for someone to steal it? (I'm sure I'm missing something here, but don't know just what it is).

I have one of those group mailboxes at the end of my street. So when I pull up to it I just jump out and grab the mail without turning the truck off. Then there are times when I'm in my garage and forgot something inside. But other than that you're right it's just asking for someone to steal it.

Not everybody lives in the hood

My routine... Lift the overhead barn door, back out, get out of truck, pull the overhead door down, lock the barn... drive away.

When I park in my garage, it takes up a lot of space. Sometimes I need to pull it out to get to something and pull it right back in. No sense in turning it off for the 30 second task.

Then you, like me, need a bigger garage.
That's the only reason I don't have an f-150. Wouldn't fit.
And I don't like parking outside if I don't have to, as that's what garages are for.
