Like Phil was saying that would be some funny shit to put Two OWL and two black and see if anyone noticed that one side looks different than the other. I have noticed that OWL is making a comeback and seeing more and more of them.
Halligan directional won't matter, you just have to flip the tire to the other side of the truck.
This?

Directional has nothing to do with it. If the white letters are outside on the left they would be inside on the right, but rotating in the same direction.

I personally have never seen directional tires with white letters. That would make buying a set of four kinda weird. You would need two left tires and two right tires depending on letters out or in.

Alot of what you are seeing these days on tuners and racecars are white painted letters using a paint pen or there is also a company making stick on white letters using rubber cement for adhesion.
Having sold several thousand tires I can say that directional tires with white lettering do exist. Not very common but they're out there.

Next August when your ordered truck arrives (pun intended) it should have very few miles on it , why not just have the dealer remount the wheels with the letters facing in and rebalance the wheel? As long as the tires aren't directional (with an arrow pointing forward) I'd do that. Truck manufacturers are too cheap to put directional tires on, low bid and all..

Wait if the OWL is showing on the left front tire can't I take it off and make it the right front tire with the black on the outside? Meaning unmount and remount? arrow going the same direction. I THINK?

Unless there is no black side! I guess I don't know much about tires.

Thanks for all the replies guys!

I guess we'll see if I like it or not. Since I have such a long wait ahead of me, all I've been doing is looking at Ranger pics and videos, looking at everyone's builds, reading about catch cans, oil change intervals and most importantly...tail gate dampers ! :)

Chances are I'll be receiving the truck in the winter, so I've been looking at winter tires which made me look closer at what comes on the truck...

It is called OWL because the white lettering is on the outside

If you don't like the look you will have to have the dealer or a tire shop switch them around. To my knowledge they can't specify that on the order to the factory

I drove with them for 10k miles and when I popped a tire on the sidewall, switched to Nittos
Was the popping of the sidewall while off-roading? And duellers or hankooks?

Hankooks, while off-roading
Sorry for more questions Garrett. Trying to understand what I should avoid. Granted I have a set of Wildpeaks for off-road but sometimes I might just have to go out on hankooks. What was the PSI? and was it rocky sharp terrain?

I like OWL, I'm I the weird one on this site?
Nah brother, if they are still running black wheels after all these years we can certainly bring back white letter tires if we want. :)
