WOW...you could put one at each compass point around the interior and compare the temp difference between front and back, or side to side, or lf to rr, or rs to lf, or......
I'm just all a tingle with the possibilities....

But then, you’d have to remember to rotate them with your tires.

Why isn't there some kind of "outer hull pressure sensor" that could determine the pressure on the exterior, at different altitudes, from below sea level to mountain driving heights ???
Was this in previous Fords, and they just decided to delete it ?

Yes, the proper terminology is "Hot O Meter" and "Cold O Meter"

Why is oil "oily" and "why is water wet" !!! And, why do we not have sensors and guages to determine the "oilyness and wetness" of oil and water.

Same hear, never thought about the actual temp. I have never had a vehicle that had a cabin temp display. Even my Nest thermostat only displays the setpoint when you walk by it.

I've got a Jurassic era Honeywell thermostat, and the primary reading is the room temperature. Been thinking about getting a wifi thermostat that I can control the temp from an app. Kristi and I are taking more frequent 2-5 day treks and it would be nice to be able to adjust the temp up or down for better energy consumption while away and return to a normal temp on the way back.

As far as the Ranger goes, it is the third Ford we've had with dual HVAC, and we find it's not as useful in a smaller interior like the Ranger. We really liked it in our Flex, which I believe had a better HVAC system overall.

Interesting. I've never in my life gone to look at the thermostat to determine if I'm hot or cold... I just adjust it according based on how I feel. Whether I feel hot or cold is usually based on how fast the air is blowing on me and not even necessarily the temp it is set to.

I am mildly surprised that the Ranger at least if not other Fords doesn't have the snowflake frost warning indicator. Have one on my motorcycle and had one in my semi. The one in the semi measured dew point vs ambient temperature. Sometimes it wouldn't come on until 30ºF/-1ºC, other times 34ºF/1ºC.

I think there is a freeze warning indicator...at least last winter I remember something on my dash flashing....think it comes on around 36-37 degrees to warn of possible ice on the road.
Have to run thru my manual again.
