Alpha Rex headlights

That question has been answered a few times.

If you do *NOT* hook up the module the LED strips will come on as soon as the housing gets power (whether it's from the auto-headlights turning on *NOT* the DRL, or any manual "on" setting with the switch).

The reason FORSCAN would be involved is if you set parking lamps to come on as DRLs, because this would power the housings and subsequently the LED strips.

That's why I brought up the Forscan thing. It appears they actually act like parking lights. Just don't want to add extra wiring and add-a fuses to the fuse block.

For practical purposes, sure, but technically they are just powered as soon as the housing has power, which can be through the normal harness or with the module Alpharex provides which is why the LED strip has the extra plug.

I would like to thank you guys for the information you're providing us. I have a Luxx set heading my way and if it wasn't for y'all, I would've never made this big purchase. Very unlike me, but I'm keeping this truck damn it!
I see it will have amber lights on the sides now. Our stock halogens didn't. Early on this forum, I asked if the sidemarkers flashed with turn signals. Which they don't. But the Luxx's will I take it.
I plan to wire in the module. Heck, you're paying for it.

I want to set my XLT up like this! How much were the lights you put in? Are they all from that same company? Also, did you put in those racing stripes aftermarket? And what is that thing by your front license plate area? Thanks for any info..

Just received the same ones today. Man they're loving us. Took 8 days for me. These are going to look fantastic on the truck. (And on the road)

I kept the OE housings, but I replaced the bulbs with DD SLF whites which were a massive improvement.

Currently I have drop in led's but I also ordered Morimoto yellow fog assemblies. It is the 3 inch round and one other member has already confirmed fitment

So far I've only seen one clip on this forum of the start up sequence. But it was from the 1st of the year. Has anything changed?
Is this how my Luxx series will start up with the module wired to ign source ? Thnx.

There is no change to how it starts up. Here's how it works with a LUXX wired up "properly":

Even though i wont see it happen from the drivers seat the start up sequence is cool
