Aftermarket Outlet Charger Panel Install

Has anyone installed one of these outlet charger in the bed of the truck? I am wondering where you installed it if you did. My concern is that if I cut into my bed of my truck I won't have the two and half clearance or two inches if I bend the leads.

Haven't done what you're trying, but if you're willing to re-wire a little, this should help you with clearances:

You could take them off that panel and line them up vertically. Here is what I did on the drivers side. Removed the tail light and plenty of room to access wiring or get the nut on the backside.

I used a Wolfhaus connecter on the drivers side just under the rail and ran the cable into a drivers side swing box. A few options that way, but the connector stays dry and the box can still move due to the length of the cable, and you can disconnect it if needed.

Just buy what is referred to as a "project box" on Amazon. Connect panel to that and the box anywhere you want.
