Have this as well. Works well, fits Ok. No leaks except both sides of the tailgate but that's universal.
On another note I noticed a +1 mpg gain after a week of driving with the cover on, which I will gladly take.

This is the cover i use. I have had it for about a year. But i only put it in when i need it. Road trips towing, shopping, it spends most of its time in the garage.
It is super easy to take on and off. A little water gets in when it rains. But not enough to get my luggage wet. It still stays dry. Had to put thick weather stripping on the front top of the bed to fill in a gap.
Been happy with it so far. The gator trifold, from realtruck

I got the Truxedo Truxport Roll Cover, if that's what you like.
Had one on a previous truck, and zero complaints. Quality made and durable. Easy install.
Part# for the Ranger is 4074 for the Supercrew 5' bed
Truxedo website lists for 349.99
I got it through Amazon for the Ranger for just a little above 300 bucks
Good luck!

My last three trucks had roll up tonneau covers. One with snaps the other two had a nylon strip on the cover with a molded in hook the grabbed a slot in the rail on the bed. The issue with these was if you rolled them up in the winter they were a bitch to stretch back out to fasten down unless you unrolled it and let it sit in the sun. My son had a rollup one that used Velcro to fasten it down but you could never get it tight and the Velcro wire out in a couple of years. All of these were fastened down across the front of the bed by the side rails making it inconvenient if you wanted the tonneau completely off the truck.

My wife's uncle bought a powered hard rollup. It was cool in that you could open and close it with a remote and could be stopped at any point but the box it rolled up into was almost as big as one of the bed tool boxes and it was really inconvenient to remove if you needed the full bed.

A friend of mine purchased a one piece tonneau that was color matched to his truck. You really need to be planning ahead if you need to carry something tall to have the tonneau off. It really takes two people to remove these making it inconvenient.

For me this was all pointing to a tri-fold for the Ranger. The hard tri-fold ones I have seen have rails along the side of the bed and appear to be more inconvenient to remove than the soft tri-fold that sit on top of the bed sides and don't have rails.

I reviewed all the soft tri-folds on tonneau covers world.com and I chose the Gator SFX. It had over 4000 reviews and a 4.5 star rating and the negative reviews were for other trucks for things that wouldn't apply with the Ranger.

I have 10k miles, 8 months and one winter on it and so far it has been everything I could ask for. It is super easy to install/remove, came with a foam strip to seal that two inch step in the crew cab front bed wall and foam blocks to seal the openings under the tops of the beds sides at the front. After going through a car wash some water gets in but most appears to be getting in between the tailgate and sides of the bed. I was never looking for it to be a tight seal and I am surprised at how well it seals.

For a soft cover I went with the Access Vanish. In the 3 years I've had it it's held up great and was only $300.00 from auto-anything.com.

Looks like they're $416.00 now. If you sign up for email alerts they're always running sales.

Yeah, you're right, even tonneau cover prices went up.

I have a Gator Tri-Fold soft tonneau installed on mine and I paid $200 [Free-Ship] via eBay promo... but now it's no longer available thru eBay but from the manufacturer's site.

Now $254.15 for the 5-foot bed/crew-cab version...

So far, I have had it installed just over three years and it's been thru all four seasons & no issues.

Yeah,
I forgot to mention, based on the bed pic:

This brand/model, Gator SFX, you do need to add additional foam/insulation on the front part of the tonneau-frame to keep dirt/dust/moisture out of the bed...
There's a gap...

I used Access-Brand Tailgate Seal, 30946, to seal up the front part.

Do your side rails both hold up ok? That’s the issue I have with my current one is my driver side rail constantly falls off. Makes me nuts lol
When I first installed it I had the same problem, they fell off every week! What a pain it was doing this in 110 heat. I spoke with the tech there (Eddie Allan) and he sent me a new batch of shims and they have to go in a certain way. One side is thicker than the other but it's been 3 years and I'm not sure now which has to go towards the inside. Since doing that it hasn't fallen off and I've been off road many times with it.
