Advice on a few simple mods for my Tremor….

Loving my new Tremor overall but I am thinking of 3 appearance adjustments.

1) Have never loved the red inserts on the grille. May change out/remove red inserts if possible.

2) Not a sticker fan on vehicles.….may pull off the Tremor stickers…..for a cleaner look.

3) Changing out blue ovals to black.….would buy factory parts.

Guess I am trying/wanting to create a blackout appearance Tremor??

Do you think this will “debage” my Tremor too much and effect trade or re-sale value later?
Plan on keeping for 2-3 years depending on when new Ranger is available in the States.

If anyone has just altered the red inserts or replaced please chime in….would love some advice on that. Hoping I don’t need to replace the whole grille and not a fan of the Raptor grille.

Yeah man. Those mods might take like 6-8k off resale in just a few years.

I'd advise against them.

I debadged my Tremor. Figure easy enough to order new stickers from dealer if I want to put back on to sell. I swapped my entire grille out but kept the old one. I don’t think any of those mods are very hard to reverse if you want.

Do what you want with your truck. Removing the Tremor decals won’t effect resale. The Tremor fan club on here might scold you though. Lol

The red grille inserts have tabs that can be popped off if you have the grille off. Can then paint them a different color, then repaint them to red if you wanted to sell it.

when you modify a truck, you alter the market for it later when you look to sell it

it might be a negative if someone wanted the features you removed.
it might be a positive to the right buyer.

I wouldnt fret over the resale value, its not going to be anywhere near the loss you'll eat like if you ever installed a TG Damper.

I spoke to one guy who looks at the alleged mounting points of the damper to forensically determine if those bolts were ever removed and a Damper was installed.
any sign the Damper was there, even for just a moment to take a pic and get the shirt, before the Damper finds the recycle bin, is a no go for him. He wont even offer you anything, the truck has essentially become garbage not worthy of a recycling yard even. He feels such trucks should just be drowned in a lake and never found again.

Oh crap….dampener will have to come off. ?

Looks good but agree they should have a heavier line weight.

What you can do is remove the red inserts and just get some black ones as the red ones may be harder to get later on if you really want to preserve the Tremor package.

Decals can be ordered from Ford or replicated easy enough, I am on the fence about taking the Tremor decal off before any possible paint fades in the shape of the decal. I know I have a Tremor and hey, seats remind me too lol.

I dont think anyone would mind about the Ford logo emblems at all.

Found this one…like the grey/black, think it will look great on a black truck….just don’t dig the red.

I got to tell you, I actually took the exact opposite approach lol


Right now I don’t have my tremor stickers on the back because I don’t like the stock ones. I put on glossy red and glossy black combo, which are made for an F150 so they are a little bigger. The other ones looked kind of small and with my color there was not enough contrast. I have them on some of my pictures, but they weren’t applied right so I pulled them off and I have new ones sitting next to me that also say 4 x 4. That red and black combo goes with the glossy black grill with the glossy red and really matches much better with the whole styling of the truck.

I actually even painted my bash plate red to match.

However if you’re going for the opposite, I can give you some ideas though…

RTR has a pretty cool grill. There’s one that has these LED lights and I think they look great, but with my 2022 running lights, they look kind of awkward together. The 2019 or just the halogen version looks really cool. That being said, you can get that grill without the LED lights and it’s kind of a matte black grill and it’s very solid

As far as the tremor sticker on the back, it’s actually pretty easy to peel off and then just wash it and there will be no trace. However without them, people look at my truck and they can tell something different but they can’t figure out what it is. To each his own but I do agree that it possibly takes away. However I see people who get rid of all emblems and that’s their style.

Anyways, here’s the new stickers but you can’t quite tell because I haven’t applied yet

But that’s the beauty is that we all can customize these trucks to our liking and we all have our own tastes which makes it so much more interesting!
