Here you go!
I've seen this before, and it just feels wrong. Use forscan to disable it, or plug a night light in. Don't unplug the battery monitor or what ever it is because you get arsed with, ASS.

Now why would I want to invest in software when I can just simply unplug a connector, it's been that way for 5 years and caused no problems!

Forscan is great, and I use it, but unplugging that connector from the negative battery terminal is an excellent way to turn off ASS and extend your battery life.

I'm 5 years in on the original battery and it reads as good as new, perhaps better. I did invest in an onboard desulfator, and I unplugged the cellular modem to limit dark power draw when the truck sits overnight. I am seeing the exact same charge pattern on my 5G Ranger as I see on my 4G Ranger. Same goes fro dark current draw. It was MUCH higher until I unplugged the modem. Seems it was calling home to Ford quite regularly, and draining my battery doing so!

I am expecting to get 10+ years out of my battery. Just like I get out of the battery in my 2005 Ranger.

That works, but it also completely turns off the BMS, Battery Management System. Which many people are fine with.
No, it does not turn off the BMS. It defaults to the BMS version used on the 4G Ranger.... which I prefer.
