I like my scab Ranger except for the 6’ bed. It’s not even a full 6’. If I could get it with an 8’ bed, and 48 1/2” between the wheel wells, it would be a great truck. Just big enough to do that, and nothing more. I’d even go standard cab to get an 8’ bed.
I've mentioned numerous times before, but I want 6ft bed crewcab Ranger. I googled yesterday, Toyota & Nissan still has just that. Come on Ford!

Normally I'd be trading mine in about now but I hate to give up the longer bed. I had two Sport Tracs before and with the optional bed extender the short bed is tolerable but I don't need a back seat any more.

I fully enjoy my Ranger.
Nice size for intown traffic and parking.
Great towing!!
Nice power when needed.
Functional size backseat.
5' bed okay.
At my age it's kind of nice when asked to haul something big/heavy for someone to say I only have a 5 ft. bed.

I love the Scab form factor. With seat delete it is perfect for my needs. A tad too large, but acceptable. My Amp steps make it easier to enter than my 4G. I generally like the bigger bed more than the 4G. The 4G is easier to get to things, but the capacity of the taller sides of the 5G has come in very handy at critical times, and saved me from making double the trips. The 5G is a better interstate cruiser too. Better MPG, and more comfortable on longer trips. My 4G is geared higher, and likes 55 mph better than 75mph.

Each has it's place. If I had to give one up it would be the 5G due to reliability issues. I'm not sure how well it will age. The 5G could have been a major upgrade over the 4G, and would hsve been except for the "greenie compromises" made.

My Ranger is the same size as my '09 F150 Regular cab 6.5' bed. Now look at how big the F150 is and it's hard to get them in a lot of garages. They're nice if you need it for work, tow a huge boat or camper or have a large family but no way I'd want one now.
These Rangers are massive relative to the trucks of yesteryear.
The '93 F150 Single Cab 8ft bed I had was <3" longer and 1" wider than my '21 Ranger.

Starting to see more fleet ordered Rangers and Mavericks lately. Seems to be popular with exterminators, HVAC, etc.
2 of our direct competitors started buying 6G Rangers as management vehicles.

State DOT and Boston Police have started integrating Mavericks into their fleets.

I see a lot of Mavericks around here now. Lots for company or city vehicles but also the Ranger for both. Oh I have both now. I really love my Ranger SCAB but with gas prices my new Maverick kicks butt gas mileage wise. I got 48.5 miles a gallon Saturday going to a photo shoot across town and back. NICE. My Ranger get's over 20 towing my tent trailers. I am spoiled.
