BTW I'm not directing this at you,Trust me I don't like it either.
Right....I'm just the messenger LOL. Fewer people working relying on a gov monthly check gives a select few a ton of power. When jobs are few the people that decide who gets them have tremendous power.

I'll go back to my conspiracy theories pod casts

But on the other side of capitalism is that if people don't buy then at those prices they'll have to come down ?
Not necessarily true. When dealers dont sell they go back to auction and get paid anyways.

These new prices could be due to the manufacturer raising their prices for the dealers. This means there is a min they will sell it for.

Oh I get it, it's just we're going to have to pay the price for it. This is just a stepping stone to the next recession. Less people working and sitting home getting paid for it while prices climb out of control and the Federal Reserve prints even more money we'll never pay back. What could go wrong?:headbang:
I don't know why this is any kind of suprise, your eyes and ears always lie to you

Hope they enjoyed the $1400. Now it’s time to start feeling the pain of it.

yeah but if your/their bottom line doesn't change an your life gets easier would you (they) really care?
yep---- seems reasonable that if they can sell less cars for the same amount of money while spending less on manufacturing and labor..... why wouldn't they?

Hi all,
I wanted to test drive a Tremor this weekend and the asking price was $54,495- just nuts! $2000 for desert prep and $5000 for Tremor prep. I told the wife to get out of the truck and we laughed our way out the door.
Your response... PERFECT.... You are the one in control - you have the money!

My price in NorCal with order in Feb delivery in mid May was $4200 below MSRP for a Lariat - not great but reasonable...

I don't think they will purposefully sell less cars at a higher prices. Maybe if there was no competition but Ford wants to sell more trucks than the other manufacturers. If they don't have a truck and gm does then that's lost customer. Thankfully there isn't a monopoly.

Capitalism at its finest. I went to buy a motorcycle for my son a couple Months ago with similar scenario. I looked at sticker price then at their sales tag….30% mark up due to “demand“. Shitty lesson to learn about capitalism but no way I was going to pay that much over. Bastard wouldn’t even negotiate. so we walked out. In California we have an anti-gouging law if effect for COVID….I wonder what the state would say about these price inflations?
California ...."Land of the Nuts" Plus something Else I won't Mention
