True, and the DOC FEE on X-plan is capped at $100 I think (or was).Yeah, I get Z plan so it doesn't really make much difference too me. X plan is a good haggle free way of buying

Gouging doesn't cover want items, typically only need items. In the eyes of the law you want the truck, you don't need it to survive.Capitalism at its finest. I went to buy a motorcycle for my son a couple Months ago with similar scenario. I looked at sticker price then at their sales tag….30% mark up due to “demand“. Shitty lesson to learn about capitalism but no way I was going to pay that much over. Bastard wouldn’t even negotiate. so we walked out. In California we have an anti-gouging law if effect for COVID….I wonder what the state would say about these price inflations?
Same in Alaska.I wasn't complaining about the excessive inventory discounts when I got $7 grand off my '19 XLT.
It works both ways. When I lived in Hawaii in the late 80's the dealers tried to mark up everything.
You walked and saved a reaming ! Good got you!Hi all,
I wanted to test drive a Tremor this weekend and the asking price was $54,495- just nuts! $2000 for desert prep and $5000 for Tremor prep. I told the wife to get out of the truck and we laughed our way out the door.
) but that won't work because my local ford dealers have no trucks on the lot to replace this one except the 70k +f150 or 250s and that doesn't make sense. its really a sellers market right now but that will change pretty soon and theyll be back to markdowns and rebates.Yep....Bend Over & Crack a SMILE!Lube for the sucker that buys it.![]()
...... its a crap time to need to buy a car right now the lots near me are all nearly empty --- Subaru lot has about ten cars on it, the ford lot (two of them near me) both have one row of cars and trucks parked along the outside spaced out to make it look like they have a lot to see but they dont. Im glad I have a car I like right now. I have the ranger and an outback that my wife drives she wants to trade it in for a Forrester but there are none (none that are priced anywhere near what I will pay) except the really expensive ones for full price plus "supplemental" sticker-- um thats a NO ....... but we are very lucky we have two great cars that are relatively new, it sucks to be looking right now to buy unless you get really luckyI'm jealous6% sales tax
second that
I'll tell you, Higher unemployment and higher inflation. Yippeee! ?I was listening to this theory that companies aren't going back to pre covid production levels if they can avoid it. With prices up companies are making the same profit on a lower volume of product with lower worker requirements. Fewer headaches an the same profit sounds tempting. No incentives required to sell vehicles boosts profits. It's interesting to see where this goes.
yeah but if your/their bottom line doesn't change an your life gets easier would you (they) really care?I'll tell you, Higher unemployment and higher inflation. Yippeee! ?
Oh I get it, it's just we're going to have to pay the price for it. This is just a stepping stone to the next recession. Less people working and sitting home getting paid for it while prices climb out of control and the Federal Reserve prints even more money we'll never pay back. What could go wrong?yeah but if your/their bottom line doesn't change an your life gets easier would you (they) really care?

I don't like it but I think it's the plan.Oh I get it, it's just we're going to have to pay the price for it. This is just a stepping stone to the next recession.
