No other symptoms, no flags nothing. Just died. Sorry I didn't take a screen shot, but really no other info. Engine started right up, off we went.

If you have access to an OBD2 reader see if it stored any CELS or codes

Did you recently park next to a Hyundai with a Theta II engine that have a propensity to seize without warning ? Like covid and monkey pox your engine may have contracted the disease, spread via airborne exhaust droplets.

I've only had one car die on me at speed. 70 mph as well but in a turn. It was a bit my fault. I swapped the dualmass stock flywheel for a single mass aluminum one. The Genesis used a ring on the flywheel instead of he crank itself for the crank positioning sensor. Why? No idea. Well it lost signal and shut down.

But... That threw a code so I knew why it did it.

/End random story that is semi but not really related. Other than if you lose that sensor, even intermittently, it will stop for sure.

I know of you idle the truck for a long time it does the same thing. So maybe your gear selector sensor is busted or something?

It was partially in jest, but, it seems like Apple is trying to become Netflix, google, Facebook and of course, still Apple, all in one…. It seems like the more vertically integrated they become, the less good they play with other applications, only staying so they can use that app/car/bank/you name it as a conduit for data gathering. But I am kind of down on Apple these days.

So hopefully it was just Ford pulling together information on your trucks health (and not Apple ).
