Has anyone found a good replacement gasket for the oem third brake light? Just noticed mine is starting to leak with staining on the headliner in the corners. Not sure I want to replace the light at this time but just install a new gasket. Not a fan of RTV in this type of application.

When I had mine out while diagnosing a wiring issue (mouse damage), I was surprised to see the gasket isn't really a gasket - it is a rubber tube that compresses when the mounting screws are tightened down. I always wondered why it didn't leak when I'd get needles in there - now it makes sense.

It looks like you can't order just that tube - you have to order the whole assembly - but there are some foam gaskets you can apply - just don't know how well they work.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't much help...... Good luck and let us know what you end up doing.

Where is the staining on the headliner?
I have staining in the back corners. I was thinking it was the antenna or third brake light leaking. Upon investigation, my leak turned out to be the seal around the rear window. Note: Not the sliding window seal, the actual seal that holds the rear window in place. Something worth checking for.
As for a seal, you could search for ‘foam cord’. If you can find the right diameter, it would compress and make a seal.

There's always the option to get a roll of gasket material and cut your own... or a thin bead of RTV sealant...

Here are some pics of the staining. These seem pretty consistent with others I found online that point to the brake light.

Yup, exactly the same staining I have.

When I took the third brake light off, there was a ring of dirt without any breaks which indicated that it wasn’t leaking.

I then sprayed water directly into the gap above the window.

When I ran water long enough I started to see water dripping in the corners where the staining is. I had the headliner pulled down enough that I could actually see the water dripping.

Here’s hoping this isn’t your problem.

I will also mention that I have had a soaking wet passenger side rear floor mat in the winter. I believe this is because the snow melts off the roof and flows into the gap, over and over all winter long. The water accumulates on the floor and never dries out.
