This things only happen in Narnia. After asking the above question, today while parking to my work there was a Ranger Lariat identical to mine with 265/70R18 Toyo OpenCountry AT IIIs installed. The owner just arrived so I could as him questions and see the truck. He had only a Fox 2.0s at 2" in the front with no other modifications and still with the original crash bars. He said no interference at all. The truck looked awesome.

Now, a 265/70R18 is 32.6" diameter while the 275/65R18 is 32.1" in diameter. It seems that keeping a narrower wheel (10 mm in this case) allows for a larger diameter tire w/o problems.

You have reached the correct conclusion. I also have the 265/70/18 with Fox combo on mine. I get a tiny, tiny tire rub on the frame at full lock but not enough to actually G.A.S. about it.

That is awesome news because with a 2" lift we can ha a choice of 30.5" (stock), 31.5", 32.1" and 32.6" tires on 18" wheels without having to touch the crash bars.

30.5" 265/60R18
31.5" 265/65R18
32.1" 275/65R18
32.6" 265/70R18

I doubt that a 275/70R18 which is 33.2 will work. Any experience out there?

Then there is the issue of weight as well...

Some individuals here are running 35's on the Ranger. With that said weight isnt as much of an issue as you think

Interesting, so you saying that you can add 35" tires without modifying the crashbars and with only 2 inches of lift? That is incredible...

Actually you have to do quite a bit of modification to fit them. I myself did not do this because it wasn't for me. The biggest I went was about a 33 with running 285 70 17s
