That is awesome. Only thing I didn't like about my 96 was the E4OD and the TTB. I swapped in a D60 but never touched thr trans.

It’s clear that each sticker is 5 HP, Duke ? weightless AND aerodynamic. Free power ?
That’s WAY cheaper than a tune.

Thanks for sharing that again, Phil. It's great to be able to see some of your stories that pre-date my joining this forum. @Administrator , @AzScorpion & @RedlandRanger , we really do need an extra tab on the headline banner for "Phil's Insights", or something like that. There's a wealth of information that newer members will miss simply because those stories got posted before members joined, and therefore don't know what to search for. Having them collected under a sub-forum would make them much more accessible.

I've always thought that the 2001-2003 was the best looking version of that gen Ranger.

Great looking truck :like:

And my Moldy Oldie 1989 model with a swapped in 4.0/M5OD combo.

I loved that truck and should never have sold it.

Edit: And I still have my other Moldy Oldie.

Thanks for the compliment I see you have the Lund Moon Visor also (or was it Lunar Visor) I cant remember which it was called but it gives the truck a different look plus i didn't want to drill the holes in the roof. Very nice rigs you have there.

Dennis, I couldn’t agree more! ?

Rob, I noticed the FX4 bedside decal on your ‘02. I had the “4x4 Off Road “ package on my ‘01. It was different in a few ways than the basic “4x4” designation but I’m not exactly sure what was upgraded. All I know is that I sure liked it and it lasted until I got my 2019.

Do you know if the FX4 pkg replaced the “Off Road” pkg in ‘02 or if it was an additional offering?

Maybe one day, Phil will come across this post and fill me in.
Haha Phil got you covered, off the top i don't remember exactly, but suspension stuff and skid plates gearing also i had the 4:10's.

Feeling creative or something, so I had to envision Dave's truck after he gets his tax return.

Dave, I see that you finally got the bed down low enough that you don't have to open the tailgate to put stuff in the bed. Saves wear and tear on the damper.

It's a well known defect! ?

Frank
Very true.

It makes you wonder how it ever got past engineering.

They obviously caught it too late.
