I have dont the install on my truck and i can say that this is the easy part!! All you have to do is use tue harness they give you and go to the power fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Easy to access and easy to do

It looks like from the harness diagram, the gray gets connected to the fuse which you call the power fuse. Which fuse is this? Also, where does the positive and negative wires hook up to?

Positive to battery negative to ground or negative side of battery. Fuse tap goes to fuse 24.

The top black & red are just straight power/ground, wire them to somehow that's appropriate. The fuse-tap will go into the engine-bay fuse compartment #24 (I'm the one who gave Alpharex that fuse number during the initial install wave), I wired mine to a different fuse tap because I didn't want to cut into that waterproof box. The two red wires on the right go to each headlight and plug into that pigtail to trigger the LED strips.

After reading through all 19 pages of this thread, I have a few more questions. I want the pros, but I don't want halogens. I replaced the stock bulbs in my XLT with Auxito LEDs and I love them. I'd like to switch out the pros halogens with my Auxitos, but I don't know if they will fit.

I have the Auxito 9005 H3B 12000LM for my highs and Auxito H8 H11 H9 6500k 9000LM for my lows. Anyone have any idea if these would fit?

Also, it sounds like, if I'm reading this correctly, that the low beams will still act like DRLs even though the lights come with the LED strips. True? So the strips and low beams are on all the time?

Forscan can disable the low beam DRL option so only the strips are on? I don't have forscan and I'm nervous hacking into my cars computer. Any other way to disable the low beam DRL. I'm assuming not but doesn't hurt to ask.

ForScan is the only known way to change the driving light setup at this time. As for weather or not the Auxito led will fit in the Pro's or not I can't say. Also before you go with the Pro I suggest going to the LUXX series. Why? Well to start I'm sure the NOVA does not do it for you lol. Second the light output is really great!! I have had a little experience with snow here in Colorado and the color temp thankfully does not reflect off the snow where you can't see. Also distance is great.

At 6500k color temp you will have a higher chance of the wonderful snow reflection if and when you drive in those conditions and it wont be fun for you.

ihelpsi will also add that if you already have the PRO's then I would recommend using PIAA halogen bulbs over the LED lights. Others on here have confirmed installing the LED bulbs are a pain.

I don't know about the rest of your questions but using forescan is as simple as changing the settings on your tv

Your exisying bulbs will NOT fit in the Alpharex units. They take H7 bulbs I believe in both high and low beams.

Forscan does not hack you trucks computer. It just changes some settings, very easy to use.

Forscan question, I have the Ford Performance tune. I had Ford install it and I'm not sure how to uninstall it. I've heard that the tune can mess up the Forscan....is this true? I really just need to get in, turn off the headlight drl and then done. Can this be done with the tune still installed?

The tune and Forscan are two different things and they don’t interact with each other in anyway. So you’re safe to change what you like with ether and it has no effect on the other.

You can turn off drl in the instrument cluster settings.....you don't need forscan.

Forscan allows you to use Lariat mode. So all marker lights are on but no dim headlights. Only way there is to change it to that.

If you WANTED to use Lariat mode, yes, forscan is the only option.

U79 is saying with an XL/XLT truck, you can turn off the onboard DRL in the dash settings - thus no more dimmed low beam. If the AlphaRex "DRL" harness is used, then the lights will function like normal, using the Alpha DRL when the truck is running and in gear, but no dimmed low beam.
